What is a loop recorder Explant procedure?
Do you need to have your implanted loop recorder removed? We offer explanting loop recorder procedures at Preston Surgery Center. Our board-certified and fellowship-trained electrophysiologist, Dr. Amer Suleman, can safely remove an implanted loop recorder once enough data has been collected to diagnose a heart condition. Dr. Suleman will study the data from the internal monitor before making the decision to take it out. Dr. Suleman will make a recommendation for removal when he has determined a diagnosis, and he will provide you with an appropriate plan for the next phase of your treatment.
To remove the ILR, you can have an explanting loop recorder procedure at Preston Surgery Center in Frisco, TX. We will give you specific instructions on how to prepare for the surgery. Some of our cardiology patients may need to have the ILR replaced with a pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter-
