What are wounds and ulcers?

Do you have wounds or foot ulcers that just won't heal or are progressively getting worse, even with treatment? Dr. Richard Swails and Dr. Dustin Lloyd are board-certified and fellowship-trained podiatrists that specialize in wound care for feet at Preston Surgery Center.

From superficial wounds to deep ulcers that reveal muscle, bone, and/or tendons of the foot, our podiatrists treat patients of all ages with compassion and care. We can offer you a consultation with Dr. Swails or Dr. Lloyd in a private examination room at Preston Surgery Center. You can expect to have a medical review of your health history, a physical exam of the wound or ulcer, and other tests as determined by our podiatrist. Many of the patients we see are referred to us by a primary care physician or a specialist for a related condition (like diabetes). If you prefer, we can also keep your referring doctor up to date with the treatment you are receiving under our care. Depending on the type of wound you have and the damage it has caused your skin, Dr. Swails or Dr. Lloyd will examine your wounds or ulcers to decide on a treatment plan.
