Meet Dr. Dustin Lloyd
Dr. Dustin Lloyd is a board-certified and fellowship-trained podiatrist on our team at Preston Surgery Center. He offers patients of all ages diagnosis and treatment of acute or chronic conditions and disorders of the foot and ankle, such as plantar fasciitis, hammertoe, bunions, bone spurs, gout, and traumatic injuries. Dr. Lloyd does his best to offer patients nonsurgical treatment options first but will perform surgical procedures when necessary.
Skills and specialties
Dr. Lloyd has a love for teaching and feels that educating patients about their diagnosis and treatment plan is the key to finding the right solutions for foot and ankle pain. He believes that effective communication and getting to know each patient allows him to provide individualized treatment. Dr. Lloyd has also lectured multiple times at Scholl College on topics, such as conservative and surgical management of pediatric disorders of the foot and ankle, as well as the proper treatment of foot and ankle traumas.
Education
Dr. Lloyd attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. While pursuing his degree, he became fascinated with the mechanics of the human body and was introduced to podiatry. He then received his formal medical training at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL. Dr. Lloyd completed a three-year surgical residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, a very busy inner city, level-one trauma center in Chicago, IL. During his residency, he served as chief resident. He was also very active in training podiatric medical students in the clinical setting.
Personal
Dr. Dustin Lloyd was born in Springfield, MO, and he grew up in Allen, TX. He is a graduate of Allen High School where he was an active member of the Allen Eagle Escadrille drum line. Dr. Lloyd is excited to serve the community that he grew up in. He loves spending time with his wonderful wife, Jessye (from Austin, TX), two beautiful daughters (Mya and Tessa), and son (Henry). He enjoys cooking, Texas barbecue, cycling, and being involved in his church.
